Adilene operates as one of our corporate Call Center Supervisors here in Scottsdale, Arizona.

She took some time to brief us on her admirable jump from Call Center Leasing Agent to Call Center Supervisor.

Career

Q: How long have you worked at Waypoint Homes?

A: I have been employed for almost 2 years and six months.

Q: What inspired your career advancement?

A: I was inspired by my family and coworkers. I had been working here for quite some time and felt it was time to make a move. Definitely wanted something that would benefit not only myself but my family as well. I wanted to provide a better life for them.

Q: What specific steps did you take to attain this position?

A: I started to take on additional responsibilities because I knew I wanted to help my team in an effective way. I loved involving myself in various projects. Training was a big factor as well. I started to help with training and onboarding of new employees.

Q: Was this a gradual transition into your then new role?

A: After I had been here for about a year, I would say the transition took overall another year.

Q: What’s been the biggest adjustment you’ve had to make?

A: The schedule change I would say. It’s a different role so obviously, it provides additional responsibilities that can sometimes take some time.

Q: What’s been the most rewarding aspect of your job as a Call Center Supervisor?

A: I love that I get to provide a job for others. It’s also a great feeling teaching others how to be successful in this field.

Q: What advice would you give someone wanting to advance their career in this field?

A: I would say if you feel something is perfect, know that it can always be better. There’s always room for improvement no matter what position you’re in.

    Hi, I am not an employee (Yet) and I was doing my research about the company before my interview with Christina Alvarado and I read this article and besides the other information I found, her story meant a lot and specifically when she said ” if you feel something is perfect, know that it can become better”. I believe that, just when you feel comfortable in a job you think you’ve made it but there’s more to be achieved and why not do it with the company that has become your second FAMILY!
