Rental Rules: The Perfect Neighbor

Rental Rules: The Perfect Neighbor

You are finally settled in your new rental home. Congratulations! Don’t think you’re in the clear just yet. Creating the perfect living environment extends across your driveway as well. We’re talking about the art of ‘neighboring’, or at least, learning how to be a good neighbor.

Understanding how to be a good neighbor is key to not only maintaining community involvement, but also a great way to offer support. Here are 3 helpful tips to ease the process.

Be friendly

When you see your new neighbors with the moving truck, take some time to introduce yourself. You might find this friendly introduction allows you to offer any help needed. If your neighbors could use a hand, they will sincerely appreciate your kind gesture.

Be helpful

A helpful neighbor is the MVP on the block. Encouraging new residents it’s okay to contact you if there is a dire need, might not be so bad. You’re not signing your life away, just merely availing yourself should there be any issues. Being thought of as dependable is always a great compliment!

Be courteous

Always be respectful of how your lifestyle affects your neighbors. We recommend steering clear from late night, loud parties without at least informing them.  Assuming the role of disruptive neighbor can leave a bad taste.

Tried and tested habits like these make having, and being a good neighbor incredibly easy. We encourage you employ these minor, yet impactful tips next time you have a newbie on the block!

Happy renting!

The people that you have rented to park on their lawn !
They own four cars, and their yard looks like a storage facility.
Don’t you pre screen potential clients ?
    This was a nice neighborhood.
