Furnishing Your Living Room: The Look For Less
Furnishing your living room on a budget? We’ve got you covered. While this room was easily a few grand to furnish, we recreated it for under $1,200! Read on to see how we did it.
- Sofa, Wayfair.com; $329.99
Furniture is key to any room and at $329.99, this sofa is a steal! With its tuft detailing, this sofa matches the ones pictured almost exactly. Plus, with Wayfair.com, you get free, 2-day shipping.
- Ottoman, Overstock.com; $189.89
Of all the pieces in this room, we think this one is spot on with the photo. It definitely brings the room together and matches perfectly with the sofas.
- Rug, Overstock.com; $79.89
This rug is another great find from Overstock. Whether you have carpet or hard flooring like our room, a rug is definitely a great addition. It makes the room warm and inviting, and can tie in with other accent pieces.
- Mirror, Target; $45
You can never go wrong with a good mirror! Although this one we found isn’t square, it still works in the room. The dark frame is similar to the one in the picture, and you can’t beat the price!
We love when accent pillows come in sets! You usually end up buying at least two anyway. In this case, we needed a good amount. With both of these pillow sets, we only need two of each to complete this look.
- Vase, Target; $25.60
This is another great multi-pack find. This set of three vases adds that pop of color this room needed. While we only planned to purchase one set of these, at this price you could afford another set and still be under the $1,200 budget.
- Planter, Target; $14.99
By now it’s obvious we love Target. Who doesn’t?! When furnishing a room, Target is the best place to find deals. This plant is no exception. Faux plants are great for two reasons: 1: They look just as good as real plants; and 2: They can’t die!
- Terrarium, Target; $12.99
This glass terrarium is a good replacement for the birdcage planter. What’s great about this piece is glass goes with everything. If you decide to change up the room, this piece can definitely stay.
