Lace up those skates and get outside! Ice-skating is a great way to celebrate the holiday season and burn off some of those extra lbs. Cities around the country open temporary outdoor ice-skating rinks for the community to enjoy.

Want to find a rink near you? Here are a few to look into!


  • Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park in Tampa, FL gets into the holiday spirit and hosts “Tampa’s Downtown on Ice.” Skate at the outdoor ice rink from November 20th to January 4th. Click here for more information.
  • The skating rink at Knights Plaza at the UCF Arena in Orlando is the centerpiece of the annual “Light Up UCF, 50 Nights of Music, Lights, and Ice.” Enjoy from November 20th to January 8th.
  • Lake Eola Park in Orlando features an outdoor ice-skating rink from December 11th to December 20th

  • The Astor Holiday Ice Skating Rink at the St. Regis in Atlanta hosts an elegant holiday rink from November 21st to January 4th. For more information, click here!

North Carolina

  • Downtown Phoenix hosts an outdoor ice rink at City Scape. Open starting in November, the rink features holiday music, a great rink, and the surrounding restaurants and bars also partner with specials on food and drinks!   • The Hotel del Coronado in San Diego hosts “Skating by the Sea” an outdoor ice skating rink next to the Coronado Beach. See their website for more information!
