Craft Your Own Marker Station
Always on the hunt for your favorite pen or pencil? Well, you are not alone! Organizational skills are something I am still trying to figure out, but every once in a while, I get a couple of tips that encourage me to keep trying. Try this fun and easy one to help you create your own marker caddy! Let’s get started.
- Shoe box
- Hot glue gun
- Empty toilet paper rolls
Depending on how large your shoebox is, cut enough fabric so you can wrap it around and fold it into your shoebox. We found cutting off the corners of the fabric made it easier to manage.
Make sure the part of the fabric you want to show is facing down. Place the shoebox on top of the fabric. Use the glue gun to add glue to the ends of the fabric.
Fold the ends of your fabric into the box. A helpful tip: glue one piece of fabric at a time into the box.
Once your shoebox is beautifully wrapped in your favorite fabric, you will fill the box with the empty toilet paper rolls.
Again, depending on the size of your shoebox some of the rolls may be too big. If this is the case, make sure to cut off the ends of the rolls.
Fill your entire shoebox with empty toilet paper rolls. For our box, we used 18 empty rolls.
Fill your box with pens, markers, rulers and any other office supplies.
There you have it, folks– your own DIY marker caddy! This is a great way to keep track of any office supplies for your kids or anyone in your home as well!
