4 Creative Ways To Gift Wrap
This is for all the holiday procrastinators of the world. We are guilty of it– shamelessly scurrying to find a box to fill with a last minute present.
This holiday season you may still find yourself at the checkout line the night before, but you won’t have to worry about last minute gift-wrapping. Here are four creative ways to gift-wrap this season.
Fabric As Ribbon
Instead of purchasing a ribbon, try using any leftover fabric you can find at home. Not only do you save yourself a trip to the store, but you’ll definitely amp up your gift-wrapping skill. You can cut a strip of fabric and wrap it around your gift and tie a bow on top. How about this piece for a little inspo?
Hand Print Fabric
If a regular piece of fabric does not cut it for you, customize the fabric you already have. Try block printing ink to print your favorite stamp designs onto the fabric. Any gift can be wrapped in this fabric. This crafty project may take a little longer, but it is definitely worth the wait. Here is a great tutorial for ways you can even carve your own stamp.
Chalkboard Markers On Black Paper
Another quick and creative way to wrap your gifts is to use black gift-wrapping paper. You can then use chalk to write who the gift is for or anything else you’d like. It’s simple, chic, and a great time saver if you are on the go. Dive into this simple creation here!
If you are really pressed for time and all stores are closed, you can always use newspaper! Wrapping your gifts using newspaper is pretty self-explanatory, but here’s a little snippet you can use for direction. If you do not have newspaper, you can always use comic book paper for kids’ presents or even extra sheets of music paper.
There are numerous ways you can add a little flair to your packaged gifts, but we certainly think this is a great place to start.
